Acceptance of Terms

By using this website, registering for a YEI program or event, purchasing youth-made products, submitting information, making a donation, sponsoring an activity, or otherwise engaging with Youth Entrepreneur Institute, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website or participate in YEI services, programs, events, or transactions.

About Youth Entrepreneur Institute

Youth Entrepreneur Institute is a youth-serving organization that supports young people through entrepreneurship, STE(A)M, arts, creative production, leadership, financial literacy, work-based learning, travel exposure, student business development, and social enterprise opportunities.

YEI programs and services may include school-year programs, summer programs, internships, workshops, KidBizCON, youth marketplaces, pop-up events, custom product projects, social enterprise sales, and community partnerships.

Website Use

You may use this website for lawful, personal, educational, charitable, partnership, registration, shopping, or informational purposes only. You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to disrupt its functionality, copy content without permission, submit false information, or use the website in a way that could harm YEI, youth participants, families, partners, or other users.

We may update, remove, or change website content at any time without prior notice.

Program, Event, and Workshop Registration

YEI may offer registration for programs, events, workshops, internships, youth marketplaces, pitch competitions, travel experiences, and community activities. Registration does not guarantee participation unless eligibility, consent, space availability, payment if applicable, and required forms are completed.

Program dates, locations, schedules, activities, workshops, speakers, and offerings may change due to staffing, weather, school schedules, safety concerns, funding, attendance, or other operational needs.

Youth Participants and Parent/Guardian Consent

Some YEI programs, events, registrations, travel activities, and youth business opportunities require parent or guardian consent. Youth participants may be required to submit forms, emergency contact information, photo/video releases, medical information, transportation permissions, behavior agreements, or other required documentation before participating.

Parents, guardians, and participants are responsible for providing accurate information and notifying YEI of any changes that may affect participation, safety, communication, or eligibility.

Made By Youth Products, Custom Orders, and Marketplace Purchases

YEI may sell or promote youth-made products, social enterprise items, student business products, custom orders, apparel, candles, body care, art, accessories, printed goods, and other creative products through the Made By Youth platform, events, pop-ups, or online shop.

Product availability, pricing, designs, colors, scents, sizes, materials, inventory, packaging, and fulfillment timelines may vary. Many items are handmade, youth-created, made in small batches, or produced through learning-based programs, so small variations may occur.

Custom orders may require additional time, approval of artwork or specifications, deposits, payment confirmation, and communication before production begins.

Payments, Donations, and Sponsorships

Payments may be accepted for product purchases, custom orders, event fees, donations, sponsorships, vendor opportunities, program support, or other YEI-related activities. By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

Donations and sponsorships support YEI’s mission, programs, youth opportunities, events, social enterprise activities, and operational needs. Unless otherwise stated in writing, donations are generally considered final.

Refunds, Cancellations, and Product Availability

Refunds, exchanges, or cancellations may depend on the type of transaction. Custom products, made-to-order items, event registrations, donations, sponsorships, and youth-made goods may have limited refund availability once payment is processed, supplies are purchased, or production begins.

If YEI cancels or changes an event, program, workshop, order, or opportunity, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate updates and options when applicable.

Photos, Videos, Media, and Publicity

YEI may take photos, videos, testimonials, interviews, or other media during programs, events, workshops, markets, travel experiences, and public activities. Media may be used for storytelling, reports, websites, social media, fundraising, marketing, grants, newsletters, and program documentation when appropriate permissions have been obtained.

Youth media use may require parent or guardian permission. If you have questions about media permissions or want to update a release preference, please contact YEI directly.

Intellectual Property

Content on this website, including text, logos, graphics, designs, photos, videos, program names, curriculum materials, layouts, and branding, may belong to YEI, its partners, youth entrepreneurs, student businesses, designers, photographers, or other authorized creators.

You may not copy, reproduce, sell, modify, distribute, or use YEI content, student business content, or youth-created work without written permission.

Student Businesses and Third-Party Vendors

YEI may feature student businesses, youth entrepreneurs, community vendors, partners, guest speakers, workshop facilitators, sponsors, or outside organizations. Some products, services, statements, links, or offerings may be provided by students or third parties.

YEI works to support youth entrepreneurs and partners, but YEI is not responsible for every claim, product, service, timeline, or communication made by independent student businesses, third-party vendors, or outside organizations unless expressly stated.

Safety, Conduct, and Participation Expectations

YEI expects all participants, visitors, families, vendors, partners, volunteers, and guests to behave respectfully and safely. Harassment, violence, threats, discrimination, theft, unsafe conduct, bullying, property damage, or disruption of programming may result in removal from an event, program, marketplace, or activity.

YEI may deny, pause, or end participation when necessary to protect youth, staff, families, partners, property, or the integrity of the program.

Links to Other Websites

This website may include links to third-party platforms, payment processors, registration systems, social media pages, partner websites, sponsor pages, or external resources. These websites are not controlled by YEI, and their own terms and privacy policies may apply.

Limitation of Liability

YEI works to provide safe, meaningful, and high-quality programs, events, services, and products. However, participation in programs, events, markets, workshops, travel, entrepreneurship activities, product-making, vending, and online transactions may involve risks, changes, delays, or limitations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YEI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages related to website use, event participation, program participation, product purchases, third-party links, vendor activity, or services, except where prohibited by law.
