Winter is the CEO of Fresh Fuse, an all-natural, teen-founded business that aims to make the world a fresher place. She created Fresh Fuse because she saw how GMO products and unhealthy ingredients were impacting people’s health in negative ways.
A major part of Fresh Fuse comes from Winter’s connection to soul food, a traditional African American cuisine. She wanted to show that people do not have to give up their roots to make healthier choices.
As a creator, chef, and CEO, Winter is building Fresh Fuse around healthier recipes, quality ingredients, pastries, juices, and soaps that support better health and community wellness.
Winter is also the founder of Winter’s DIYs, a creative business connected to handmade accessories, laser-cut products, self-care items, and custom youth-made goods.

Meet Winter.
Hi, my name is Winter. I’m the CEO of Fresh Fuse, an all-natural, teen-founded business that aims to make the world a fresher place.
I first started this business because I saw how GMO products were impacting our health in very negative ways. My Achilles’ heel when starting my business was figuring out how to make my idea a reality. YEI helped immensely with that.
A big part of me starting my business stemmed from soul food, a traditional African American cuisine. I wanted to find a way to let my people have their cake and eat it too. We do not have to give up our roots to be healthy.
At Fresh Fuse, we’re not just selling quantity; we’re selling quality. From pastries and juices to soaps, come shop fresh to support better health.

YEI Pathway
Growing from maker to market-ready founder.
Summer 2022
Winter joined YEI as a 6th grader through STEAM summer camp, learning laser cutting, cosmetics, and hands-on making.
Winter’s DIYs
She continued building her creative business through MBSYEP, weekend studio time, laser cutter access, and product development.
KidBizCON + Markets
Winter pitched at KidBizCON in Summer 2024 and has stayed active in pop-ups, vending events, and customer-facing markets.
Fresh Fuse
Winter is now growing Fresh Fuse, an all-natural brand focused on pastries, juices, soaps, healthier recipes, and community wellness.
Smart Hustle Abroad
Taking business beyond one city.
Winter was one of three high school students selected for YEI’s inaugural Smart Hustle Abroad program. Through that experience, she had the opportunity to participate in a global service project, market her business in multiple states, attend college tours, and explore potential places to expand and network for her business.
Her experience shows how youth entrepreneurship can connect students to travel, service, college exposure, business research, and new markets.
